Noah and the Ark

Age 5+: Read Genesis 6:9 - 7:20
Under 5: Read about the flood from a children's story bible or the short summary below.

All the people in the world were doing bad things. They were not trying to please God. There was one man, Noah, who was different from the rest of the people. Noah wanted to please God. So God spoke to Noah and told him to build an ark. An ark is a huge boat that floats on water. Noah obeyed God and did everything that God said. He built the ark just like God commanded. Then Noah and his family went inside the ark with at least two of every kind of animal. God shut the door of the ark and it started to rain. It rained and rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Soon the water covered everything-- people, homes, trees, even the tallest mountains! God used Noah to build the ark and to save Noah and his family along with all the animals.
